Baby Shower in the Land O' Love

My mom and my sister threw me a baby shower in Loveland this weekend.
Who knew the fishbowls from our wedding would make it out for so many events in the future! I loved these as centerpieces!
It was a gorgeous day out so we were lucky enough to be outside.
They had prepared all kinds of food including green eggs...and ham roll ups going with our Seuss theme.
Danelle, Sharon, Beth, me...and Jody on the other side of the table.
Then Shirley, Wilma, Natae and backs to us Tammy and Kim...so fun to have so many family friends together!
Mom and Kate had some fun games to play...I did not do so well on the baby name game...guess I have not kept up on the popular names which should tell you all something!
Danelle and Beth always with the creativity gave me a pirate's "booty" chest full of supplies for the mom's and baby's booty...SO cute!
Danelle was QUITE the trooper seeing as she had had her gallbladder out 3 days before! She has given me so much baby stuff since she has THREE little ones under three!
Sharon, my high school pricipal/student council advisor/friend.
Kate and my aunt Tammy...somehow we NEVER got a pic of Kate, mom and me :(
me and 3 generations of Swansons...Natae is one of my oldest friends going back about 22 years now!!
Thanks ladies for a great shower...now Kim I just wish your prediction of the baby the day after the shower had come true!!!

Stapleton Garage Sale

Saturday morning started EARLY with Bri and Brittni's arrival for the Stapleton garage sale. For those of you that don't know...Stapleton is the community Sam and I live in that was built where the old airport used to be. This area is FULL of young families and little kids so we knew there would be some good deals. After about 3 hours and literally walking only 2 blocks we couldn't fit anything else in the car! Here's a pic of the 3 of us with all of our deals...minus a kitchen table for the Fudge house! Bri at one point may have said "this is the best day of my life!" Now I know she was caught up in the moment and her husband and baby may disagree with the statement but it is for sure worth repeating!!

Fat Tire and FAT Feet!!!

FAT TIRE
We took Sam's brother Joel up to the New Belgium Brewery , home of Fat Tire beer to do their tour...
and visit their tasting room.
Sam and Joel had brewed their own beer at our place in the morning so they were very interested in checking out their process on a large scale.
In one of the rooms they have these amazing mosaics all around the brewing tanks.
FAT FEET
And after a long day of sitting in my office chair and the car and playing games I ended up with my fattest feet yet! You can't even see ankles anymore! They are so puffy, it feels so strange. The weird thing is that you can actually push them in with your finger and your fingerprint stays on my foot for a few minutes...I could not get a good picture of that...maybe next time.
To give a little perspective with the only foot picture I could find on short notice...my feet are normally VERY narrow and small so it gives a good idea of how HUGE they really are!

36 Weeks...new hair, new glasses, new belly shot!

Well this isn't the best pic yet but I was trying to take it on my own since Sam was at a concert...so you can kind of see the new VERY short (shorter than I thought it was going to be...but will have time to grow) hair, my new glasses and the latest belly shot.

35 Weeks and counting down...

35 Weeks down...5 (or less hopefully!!) to go!!
Fun new developments:
1. My HUGE ankles. They swell like crazy and Sam finds them somewhat entertaining as you can actually push on them and the fingerprints stay where you pushed!
2. The inability to sleep very well at ALL anymore since as soon as I get comfortable and fall asleep my arm also falls asleep then tingles and wakes me up...AND the fact that I have to pee about every hour and a half. I guess all of this just prepares me for being up all night with the baby, but I must tell you I don't do well with little sleep so I am sure praying for a good sleeper!
3. Tiredness...it's back...it makes my days seem quite long.
4. Out of breath the most since I have been. I can walk up a few steps and be huffing and puffing!
5. And finally, the inability to truly bend over. I now have to do the sideways squat to get something or have someone grab it for me. It sure is strange to not be able to do normal things, but it will all be well worth it!!

4th of July

We went up to Loveland for a 4th of July bbq and some fireworks with the fam.
Melissa with my uncle's dog Jack...he sat there for about 2 hours getting his belly scratched!
Then he moved on to David's lap...tough life for this pooch!
Aunt Tammy and mom
Kate and me
uncle Jim making a classic Jim face
Cousin Landon playing washers...check out the concentration!
Then we headed to the golf course where we used to live to watch the fireworks...the rain stopped just in time for the show.
You know you're from a small town when you know the people who sit down behind you...
AND the people who set up blankets in front of you! :)

Baby's First Concert...WILCO

One of Sam's all time favorite bands is Wilco so when I saw they were playing Red Rocks this summer I had to get him tickets. We were nervous during the day as it seemed as though it was going to rain pretty much the entire evening and Red Rocks is outside. We really lucked out and had a gorgeous night just missing the rain before and after the concert. There is no doubt that the baby could hear the concert...he just couldn't see it yet! At least Wilco is pretty mellow so it wasn't crazy loud, but loud enough!
waiting for the concert to start
we went in early because we knew it would take me a while to make it up ALL of those stairs, but luckily we did because we got a great spot
the view from Red Rocks is gorgeous!
and the concert begins (well after a HORRIBLE opening band)
the moon came out just as the show was starting

this is the beginning of one of Sam's favorite songs
and the guys goofing around with the intro

Sam's Ladybug

If you've been following the blog you know Sam has his garden on our deck. The other day he grabbed his camera to snap a picture of a ladybug on his purple flowers...he's pretty proud of the shot. :)

Texas!

I headed to Texas for my last work trip pre-baby and am still amazed at how ANYONE can live there...it is SO hot!! Lindsey was able to drive to meet me and stay for the weekend with us so that was a lot of fun.

The place we stayed was a really nice new convention center...very proud of Texas.

They had fun train sets/displays set up all over.

Even a replica of the Alamo.

This is where we ended up eating both nights, we had great ribs the first night and the second night....

pretty much anything on the menu that was fried...which is just about everything!

Linny and me...we had fun at the outlet malls, in the pool, eating some good food (and ice cream!) and just hanging out. Lin was a CHAMP in helping Ellie and I get all of our stuff ready to hand out as well. She folded about 300 shirts for us and fastened about 200 twisty ties! She headed out early the morning of the actual convention to avoid the heat since she has no AC in her car!

So Ellie and I headed to the convention hall to set up...I am bummed this pic didn't come out because it is hands down the ugliest blob of balloons I have ever seen. They for sure did not get the colors right and then threw in a few random ones here and there. They made an amazing balloon arch and then this! Blah!!
Here is our booth...and you can see all of the bags we stuffed lined up along the wall. Once they started coming in we were slammed right up until we had to leave. It was the fastest packing job ever so that we could make it to our flights!

New Ultrasounds of our little guy

We went back to my uncle's work for another shot at the 3d ultrasound since last time we were at 19 weeks and he decided he would keep the back of his head to us the whole time. It took some work and one loud Ace of Base song to get him to turn this time but we finally got a few shots of his face!

We think it looks like he is wearing sunglasses in this one! You will also notice that he has been blessed with our large forheads! :)

I love this one of his little foot! With him being so big now you can just get parts of him in each shot.
And another face shot...this one isn't as clear. He kept putting his hand or his foot in the way so we grabbed as many as we could minus the hand/foot.
We are SOOOO excited to see him in real life!!

33 Weeks!

Wow this belly is growing!
I will be going on my last trip pre-baby to Texas over the weekend, I have NO shoes that are really fitting me right now (thanks to some swollen feet!), and it is supposed to be 102 with 70% humidity there...blah...TEXAS!

Father's Day

Mom and I ran to Michaels on Father's Day morning to get the rest of the supplies needed to finish up the baby announcements we were working on and returned home to....
a shirtless...but aproned dad...making us all breakfast. Sure was nice of him to make everyone breakfast on father's day. :)
We gave dad tickets to the John Denver tribute show at Red Rocks.
Mom and Dad gave Sam Ratatouille for his father to be present. He LOVES this movie!
Baby T and I gave Sam/daddy some gifts to prepare him for the arrival. He got Hop on Pop to read to the baby, a new calculator watch to countdown to his arrival, a Wilco dvd to prepare for his first concert with the baby (July 3rd at Red Rocks), a baby art book, and some other books to keep him occupied and laughing until his arrival.
Father's Day photo...minus Lin who is now in Texas.
And the Lees family on Father's Day (my uncle Jim, aunt Tammy and cousin Landon)
