19 Months with Frog Guy

Cohen is 19 months old now...time is flying by!!here he is with his frog guy (and of course a tractor)and giving loves to his frog

He continues to talk A LOT and will repeat or at least try to repeat words we say to him.

He still loves loves loves tractors and every time he sees one he says more right away because you know mommy and daddy can control when and how many tractors you see!

He likes to laugh when we laugh which makes us laugh even more.

He is more and more attached to his Cat in the Hat and now likes to tuck him in and feed him.

He also loves to feed our fish Leo and sign to him to eat.

He is in LOVE with Elmo which is funny to watch but still has an attention span of about 10-15 minutes.

We love our little 19 month old guy!!

Bar Mitzvah time!

We headed out to Boston for a quick weekend to celebrate Harry's bar mitzvah

I had a bit of a rainy walk around the city the day I got in while I waited for Kelly to get in and Jill to get off of work but I love the city so I wasn't to be stopped. I stopped by to see the ducks who were decked out in... Mardi Gras beads!
we enjoyed some wine and cheese on the roof deck
as well as some amazing views
Kelly and Jill before we headed out for restaurant week dinner...mmmm...SOOOO fun to hang out with these gals and catch up!
Saturday morning we went to the temple for Harry's service and celebration then we had some time in the city before Kelly had to go to the airport and we had Harry's night party so we decided to hit up the purple palace where we all lived together...here is it...still big and still PURPLE!
ahhhhh the memories! we were laughing so hard about some of them!
our first home...some day Cohen will have to see it too
and to get the full picture!
after dropping Kelly off at the airport we had some time to head to the North End for some coffee and pastries
Sam and Jill walking through the harbor
a view of the harbor...our friend Ashley used to live right here!

Then it was time to party late night with Harry!!! I still cannot believe how big he is now!! Such a great day for him and a fun party too!

Jill and I, as you will be able to see, enjoyed the photo booth...the above pic being my favorite one of all!!!!!
We pulled Sam and Joelle in on a few as well

and yes, may have found a stuffed cat to add...

fun fun fun
then there was dancing

and more dancing and whipping our hair all around

it was hockey themed OF COURSE since Harry lives and breathes hockey

the food was in concession stands

ahhhh...the snowball
notice Harry looking at Joelle during the dance
then some temporary tattoos...why not?!
here is mine
me (mom), Jill (Lucious), and Sara (hottie)
The next morning Jill and I ran a 5k in our old hood...it was a St. Patty's 5k so we went decked out in the ugliest race shirts I have ever seen and some fun schwag from Harry's party...here is the before
and the after with our medals
we were able to make it to see Harry play hockey as well, which was really fun
he is goalie and has gotten so good!
can't wait to see more games in the future

What a great trip and such a fun time to celebrate with Harry. I really can't believe that he and Joelle are getting so old, they truly are amazing kiddos and I am so happy to have been (and still be) part of their lives. So excited to see where they will end up!

Schpicieeesss= spicy!!

Sam's favorite thing Cohen says is spicy so he tries to get him to say it ALL OF THE TIME! He and Cohen have a new favorite snack which is pretzels dipped in mustard, the SPICY kind. Here they are eating snacks together.

tractor tractor tractor tractor tractor

anytime Cohen sees a tractor he says tractor (well actually screams it and then asks for more) then he just keeps saying tractor over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...you get the idea. Needless to say (or see as you can from the last few posts) this child LOVES tractors so I found this pack of 5 for his Easter basket and had it hidden in my office. Well one morning I was getting some of his clothes put away while he was playing and he comes running into his room shouting tractor tractor tractor and shaking he is so excited at the amazing find in mommy's office!! Since the kid has no concept that Easter is more than a month away and he will now have 5 less little tractors in his basket I let him open them...
and he had a GREAT time
it is so amazing
to have FIVE!!!
he didn't want to put any of them down so he just kept playing and picking them all up and playing some more...it is actually quite difficult to hold five tractors when you have little hands!

Morning Tractors

We love our morning walks, and luckily it has been nice quite a bit so far in March. We take a snack (cereal bar) and hit the road in search of tractors.
usually the cereal bar is stuffed in in a few bites
and then we find some tractors and enjoy the rest!

Stapleton is a pretty amazing place to live if you love tractors!

Cars and Trucks and Things that GOOOOO

Well I am officially at least in the same month of the pictures I am posting now!
-
Cohen has been a lot more into reading lately but he really only wants to read one book...Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things the Go! aunt Wendy and uncle Mike gave us this book for Cohen because it had been one of Adam's favorites...and it is now one of Cohen's. It is full of tractors and buses and fire trucks which means it is AMAZING!

love the bed head hair!
just reading away!
