Argentina

Sam and I were lucky enough to get to go to Argentina. We started in Buenos Aires
this was our hotel room at a fun little boutique hotel there

they had a lot of very cool art

that was crazy when you looked up close (like this one made of fabric)

or this one completely out of condoms

 or glass pieces
 or bullets

 or wire
the shopping mall near the hotel has this Christmas tree display up, each of those shiny objects are Swarovski crystal snowflakes, it was beautiful
our first night we went to a tango show, it was very fun and the band was amazing

they next day we did a tour of the city
these trees bloomed in the most beautiful purples
 The Recoleta Cemetery
 Eva Peron

 one amazing looking dessert!

a fun time out and about
 followed by a wine tasting

and another tango show

The next morning we headed to Mendoza Argentina where we hit the ground running visiting many wineries

 we had an amazing lunch
 and of course more wine

our place in Mendoza was really nice too

after a long day of food and wine, Melanie, our guide, and myself went for a long walk through the park near our hotel (Sam stayed back to watch some soccer)

the next day we went to visit a few more wineries

 Catena Zapata was quite impressive!

 I loved this smaller one

We stopped for lunch again, this time we were able to watch all of it made on the grill in front of us, and plated with such care

Our last day we went for a walk around the city again and our guide Eguardo showed us this amazing book store, an old theater that had been changed into a book store, you could spend hours in this place (not to mention they had a great restaurant on the old stage)
meanwhile, back at home Cohen was enjoying his time with grandma and grandpa

he had his school thanksgiving celebration
and we picked up a little friend for him
to hang out with spot the dog...
who once again traveled with us

It was a great trip with such amazing food and wine, would love to make it back here one day.
