Egg Scramble

Our town center put on an egg scramble...obviously our little one is too little to scramble yet but we thought we'd check it out.
we got down there and found out there were 8500 eggs on the town lawn!
Cohen didn't even know what to think...it was nuts!
they had it all roped off and kids by age around the center
Cohen just jumped and laughed and watched the chaos
then the lady doing the countdown said "so...." and the kids thought she said go so they took off for the eggs, it was hilarious!
we got an empty egg for Cohen
and he was happy as can be! We will see how many Easter's an empty egg will make him this happy.
Cohen and the Easter Bunny
dancing to the music
he did not want to give up his little egg!!
time for kisses!

this video you have to start about half way in...

and when you reach the wall...you jus hit it!

Mary Kay

My friend Bri is kicking off her Mary Kay business (which I know a lot about since my mother-in-law sells it and I love it) so I hosted a party for her...
here she is giving us the history of Mary Kay
Laura applying the moisturizer
Brooke the foundation
Brittni the blush
Christine the lips

Thanks for a fun night Bri...good luck with the biz!

Zoo with friends

We went to the zoo with Brooke and Hudson, Bri and Isaac and Brittni and Griffin...little boy parade coming through! Sadly I didn't get a picture of all of us while there, but did get a few other shots:

the lions, which Bri is very skeptical of

Cohen taking it all in

G-man showing us how big he is

Bri and Isaac showing how big they are

and Cohen and I...not so big but we love polar bears!

Here is Cohen watching the polar bear pace back and forth, we were cracking up. What you can't see is the little legs kicking and kicking. Sam and Cohen read this book all of the time...so we call the polar bears Lars (Cohen will probably be confused for life)
Bri and Isaac at the giraffes as requested by grandma Ensing
and the black bears...which ironically Bri loves (lions and tigers and bears OH MY) apparently for Bri it is "lions and tigers OH MY"

Isaac turns ONE!

It is hard to believe that a year ago we were sitting by the pool in Mexico while our little friend Isaac came into the world in the middle of a snowstorm in Denver!
Bri made the CUTEST cake for his birthday
with matching little farm animal cupcakes
the cow close up
Cohen backed himself under the couch, a new trick he does quite often since he can go backward but not forward yet
the guys played some washers out front and were just happy for a nice day
Cohen worked his way over to Isaac's book
and then worked his way right into Isaac's grandma's lap...pretty smooth!
they call Isaac Poohster...thus the balloon
Jill...it's a ROCKSTAR shot! :) (a photo where no one is looking directly at the camera as dubbed by Jilly!)
"dad can you even believe this...she is going to give this thing to me with the fire on top!!"
"oh I want that...I do I do!!"
"hmmm...what is this nose made out of?"
"this is strange!"
"are you sure I can do this?! wow!!!"
I'd say Isaac got the hang of it!!
he looks so grown up
checking out the chickens
and feeding the chickens
what a great day...happy birthday to Isaac!!!

House Changes

While grandma and grandpa were down we did a lot of work in the basement clearing an area for a play area for Cohen and friends.

a large carpet area with a slide and kitchen

and a SWING!

and johnny jump up!!! woo hooo!! grandpa hung some shelves to help organize paint and beer making supplies and give us some more storage room

And here are pics of our two big projects from another weekend they came down:

we painted Cohen's bathroom a fun bright green

and added the fun sparkly BATH letters

then we painted the masterbath to match the bedroom and got some fun beach themed stuff for the counter

I also finally hung my beach frame that I love

much much improved from the blah tan color it was!
