Christmas!!

This year we celebrated Christmas with the Russell clan. They came up to our condo in the mountains in waves due to some crazy work schedules! We had fun hanging out with David, then Lin and Kate joined, then at about midnight on Christmas Eve mom, dad, and Scott joined us.
Due to the late Christmas Eve arrival we knew we could get some skiing in before everyone woke up. We were SO early to the lifts the gondola at Breck wasn't even running yet...brrrrr. We were literally the second non-employees on the lift that morning, but it was worth it!
We skied in some great fresh powder, up to almost are knees at some points!
We figured we needed to stop and document what will probably be the best ski day of the year!
When we arrived back at the condo the crew was just waking, we had some breakfast and moved on to stockings...which were a little larger than normal this year!
Scott trying to reach the bottom of his.
Lindsey with a funny air freshener.
Kate with the mega 80s collection!
Me with a new vase for our place.
Sam with the day's biggest treasure...it sings "grandma got run over by a reindeer"!!!
then it was game time starting with a few darts

then the guys played Farkle or what we have now realized has many many other names and rules
and the girls hit the hot tub and pool
gotta love the Colorado mountains!
our condo
and our new car...still working on a name

We had a wonderful Christmas together only interrupted by a call from Kate on her way back down that she had been in an accident less than 5 miles from her place. Thank goodness she was ok and all other people in the 4 other cars involved were also ok!

Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful one as well!!

Well...

I've now been holding off for a few days as I am still wondering how the heck did Clinton win! Maybe it was the tears, maybe it was McCain taking independent votes because they thought he needed more help...who knows but New Hampshire was for sure a disappointment. However after last night's opening of Denver's new Obama office and the party/speeches held there I am excited and ready to see what happens in SC, NV, and on Super Tuesday (go Colorado!!)

here is a link for last night's event:

The Great Granite State

Well Caucus one down...VICTORY OBAMA

Primary One...hoping my former state of NH will come through with the right decision tonight! I am off to watch the results with the Colorado Obama peeps at 6pm tonight and am feeling pretty good as last I heard from my very very reliable CNN Obama was projected to win by 9...others saying as much as double digits...oh we hope there is truth in that!

Stay tuned for updates and hopefully celebrations following tonights results!

And I will eventually finally get caught up on the blog backlog as well!!

GOBAMA!!
