Trip to Wisconsin...LOTS of photos!!!

Well this has for sure been the blog that has been holding me up...and you'll see why! We went to Door County, Wisconsin to celebrate Sam's parents 35th wedding anniversary. We rented a house on Lake Michigan and had a great week with the entire family. I'll just put little titles for the sections or quick captions on the pics because there are LOTS. (The videos are not loading right now so I will try another post with them...sorry grandma and grandpa Drews you are only in videos but I'll try to get them up soon!) Sam's cousin Caleb got married on the 4th so Sam was able to attend
me and my parents (they joined us as well) on the deck at the lake house
the boys all watching a World Cup match on the computerSam and Joel braving the lake
the whole Troge side out for a fish boil
and the Troge crew again

The Micheel kids...including the latest little one, Lucy.
The Russell side and us
waiting for the boil over at the fish boil
first they add a TON of salt...then some oil to light on fire and... there it is
the whole crew out at the restaurant
the sunsets on the lake were amazing

Cohen was so lucky to have a full week with both sets of grandparents...to say he has them wrapped around his little finger would be an understatement!

Cohen also got to spend some time with his cousins...he was enthralled with these older boys (who were so great to him!) above is with cousin Ruben
Cohen and cousin Hyunjae
Cohen meeting Lucy
JD and Hyunjae entertaining Cohenthe boy cousins sporting their silly shades (Hyunjae, Ruben, JD and Jee...and dad David) this is Cohen's new face he makes...it cracks us up
and here it is again
we went cherry picking one afternoon
our loot
mom collecting her share
mom, dad, and mom #2 :)
Cohen LOVED the cherries (but not as much as he loves mommy!)
Cohen with a little mowhawk (uncle Scott would be proud)
off for a bike ride and a treasure hunt
uncle Joel in his bunk house
it was pretty hot so one afternoon we took a drive and took Cohen to the beach area...he thought it was amazing he could sit and splash just like the tub
yaaaaaaaaaaay....arms up with grandpa
he loved the mud/sand too, so much so that he stuffed a whole handful in his mouth...YUM!
he also was standing all on his own for a while...until he would realize he was standing and then would just sit down
walking with grandma
so glad we have a little one that loves the water
Sarah and Lucy
Cohen and me
I know this falls in the VERY random category but there was this restaurant that has grass on the roof...and to go with the grass there are goats actually grazing on the roof!
Sam and Joel made us many amazing meals over the week...here is the finished version of one of the nights.
When we went for a drive to the beach we stopped at a lighthouse for a tour
a view of the lake (and us) while waiting for the tour
glad Cohen doesn't have to potty train in this
the stairs going to the top of the lighthouse
some of the artwork and instruments in the house
arhhhhhhhh
nectarine time
There is no non-messy way to eat these when you have to shove your full face into them for each bite!
