Memorial Day

A bunch of the gals and I ran the Bolder Boulder 10k on Memorial Day.

We missed our park and ride spot so we drove into Boulder and woke my brother up at 7am to drive us to the start...what a trooper!

Here we all are at the end of the race in front of the stadium (Bri, Brittni, Sparrow, me, Brooke)

me and Sparrow waiting for the elite racers and celebration

Bri and me again waiting...

then the skydivers come into the stadium...this year again the guy carrying the American flag was the guy that Brooke jumped with when we went skydiving for her 30th birthday...so funny
-
To cool off we grabbed the kiddos and some food and headed to the pool
it is hard to get all 3 kids in one picture but Sparrow's phone provided a distraction
for a few seconds at least...

Fun Day with Grandma and Grandpa

Our nanny was out of town for a few days so it was hard but we twisted grandma and grandpa's arm into coming down to Denver to watch Cohen for us while we were at work.
They took him to the zoo
He LOVES the zoo!
as you can see by his red little face it was VERY hot out
so it was good to relax in the stroller for a bit as well

and drink some liquids!

he get super excited when he sees the animals

the monkey was putting on a show

They also spent some time at the park by our house, Cohen loves to swing too.

Clare is officially a DENTIST!!!

Our friend Clare just graduated from dental school...hooray!!!
I found a few fun little extras for her party...I mean why wouldn't they have rubber duckies with dentist themes?!
Clare...classic Clare face! Isaac makes this face all of the time.
celebrating with Clare at her party...way to go, we are so proud of you!

The bad news is that this graduation also means a move for Clare...that part we are not looking forward to!

Pulling Up

Cohen really started pulling up while we were on our trip...he now pulls up and bounces and yells to make sure we see him. Back home he just amped up his efforts and is pulling up on EVERYTHING!

Yet another adorable shirt from our friends Megan and Eric

Mother's Day

Mother's Day fell the day after we returned from our trip, so we just had a low key day at home playing with Cohen.
my boys
me and my serious little boy
my fancy drink made by Sam
Cohen loves to touch faces...granted he is not always so gentle...but you know he likes you when he touches your face.
I am so lucky to be a mom to this little boy! What a great 9 months it has been so far!
Had to put this one in since his face is hilarious!

Day 6- Final Day at Sea

Our final day was at sea which means Cohen was allowed in the kids area again for a little bit.

there was a lot of talking on the way to the kids area

he is a true Troge in that he LOVES musical instruments

Cohen also LOVED the whack a mole game

a quick view of Cuba

in the afternoon we did some pool time

and then hung out in the lounge chairs and people watched...

and yelled

then back to watching

and some hamming it up

Cohen was exhausted after a long and busy day playing so we put him in his pjs and went for a last walk on the deck
the water was so blue even at night
then watched the sunset

then enjoyed our last towel animal

then the fun began...tonight we caught the going to bed ordeal on film...first he makes sure we see him standing

then it is just play time

then finally he lays down and is fast asleep

Day 5- Jamaica

We arrived early in Jamaica so we went for a walk along the deck and took some pictures
heading up to the top deck in the elevator...Cohen talks up a storm in the mornings

the portthere were way more hills than we thought some really really chunky feet!!sun coming through the clouds

Time to head ashorenot loving the hat and glasses...nice try mommy
We did a plantation tour for the first part of the morning sugar cane which we got to try
sitting on the tractor...it was HOT!
view of the port from above
sitting on daddy's lap on the tractor
ocean views!
pineapple
attempting to climb a palm tree
just a little further to go
being shown how it is really done
and then there were a few ostriches
and my family will be amazed by this photo after being traumatized by one when I was little
the main plantation house
and the view from the back
the view from this pool has to be one of the best I have ever seenmy boys coming down into the garden a few garden shots...many more flower ones to come at the end of the post
Cohen's first time on grass...not so sure about it...he didn't want to put his knees down
a lot of the trees on the plantation have been planted by famous people, the one in front of the main house was planted by Churchill
after the plantation tour it was time for the ocean...other than touching toes in the ocean in California in December this was Cohen's first time really playing in the ocean
and he loved it!
you have to yell when in the ocean
he kept sticking his tongue out...not sure of the salty taste but not phased by it like his mom (who HATES salt water)!
time to change out of the wet clothes which was VERY funny
and sound asleep once again
a good close up of the crazy hair and back to the boat we go

leaving Jamaica
who knew the lid to the butter could be so much fun?!
making the rounds
the ship crew loved him
they even dubbed him the ship baby
his nightly towel friend
and showing off his new trick of standing in his crib
in case you don't look he grunts and makes noise to make sure you see him
And as promised...flower pictures from the plantation:
