We had a girls only baby shower to celebrate the soon to be arrival of baby girl Hollander. Since finding out Crystal was pregnant in Steamboat it has been fun to help her through the process. I know she is ready for that little one to come out!
We were able to do the shower while Crystal's mom was in town. She made the baby a blanket out of scraps of all of Crystal's old prom dresses and other formal dresses, such a cool idea! The one time that guessing a girl's waist size is acceptable.
However her mom was a BIT off since it could go around her almost twice! :)
the crew: me, Catherine, Bri, Crystal (and baby Hollander), Crystal's mom, Sparrow and Emily
We can't wait to meet this little one...and learn her name!!
Sam has been waiting to be able to take Cohen to a Red Sox game since he was born. The closest we got last year was the Red Sox bar near us...this year we got a little closer by going to a live game...however here in Colorado not in Boston. Maybe next year we'll make it to Fenway with Cohen. It was a HOT day and we knew we wouldn't last for the full game so we decided to go early to batting practice with Cohen.
Sam and Cohen, he was mesmorized! He did not want to look for any pictures...too much going on mom and dad!!!
So cute in his little Sox hat and shirt...crazy to think I bought this shirt for him last summer when I was at Fenway before he was born!
he is such a wiggle worm...now that he can crawl all he wants to do is get down on the ground
standing in the seats and entertaining people around us is pretty fun too
Big Papi brings his little one out on the field to warm up. SO adorable.
Other than the World Series in 2007 (which was GREAT) the Red Sox have not been in town since we have lived here, so we were very excited to get to see them.
Night 1 we went with our neighbor who has amazing seats! (Thanks Peter!!) Youk and his bald head! (I must admit that one of the highlights of the night was when the two guys to the right of me leaned over and asked what Youk had done to fall out of favor with the fans...this has to do with the fact that when Youk comes up to bat everyone yells Yooooouuuuk but it sounds like boooo but since there were so many Red Sox fans there it was really loud and they thought he was being booed by them) Lester or as they say in Boston Lestaaah
BIG Papi (again the guys next to me first of all confused why the place went nuts when Papi came in...and then also confused as to why he is called Papi)
who has one CRAZY follow through
Well the game didn't turn out as we had hoped but it was a great game down to the last out.
Laurie grew up mainly in Colorado (4th grade on) then started college in Boulder and transferred to New Hampshire. After finishing school I moved to Boston to teach... and that's where I met Sam. Sam grew up just outside of Green Bay Wisconsin and went to college in Colorado. He luckily got his first job in Boston and the rest is history. We got married while in Boston then moved to LA. We are now back in Colorado and loving life! We have been lucky to make great friends along the way and have some amazing experiences!! But the best thing that has happened to us is our little boy, Cohen.
