1st pair of jeans

Now I know what people mean when they say they grow up so fast! Cohen is 7 weeks old on the 2nd...time flies! He has finally outgrown his newborn size clothes so we are moving on to a whole new set of clothes...including his first pair of jeans! He looks so much older/bigger when he is wearing pants, but it sure is cute!

Reading with mommy...

Cohen loves books, which is good because so do Sam and I and he already has quite a library! We've been reading a lot of Dr. Seuss and he LOVES this touch and feel farm book.

Sick Day :(

Sam came back from Hong Kong with a really bad cold and Cohen and I had both gotten colds as well, so on Monday daddy and Cohen had a sick day...did I mention it was also my first day back at work?! So at one point I went into the bedroom to check on them and this is what I found...

you may think sick days look a lot like exercise time...but they were actually both really sick!
Sam made an appointment for Cohen at his doctor and the earliest they could get him in was 4pm. All morning the little guy was coughing, nose was running, eyes were watery you name it...come 4pm he is just fine. Sam said at the doc he was flirting with the nurses, just huge smiles all around and not a cough, sneeze watery eye. He is pretty sure the diagnosis was overprotective 1st parent, but hey better to check I say!

Pumpkin Time

We headed out to a local pumpkin patch with some friends and our kiddos.

here we are in the pumpkin patch picking out our pumpkins
Joel, Bri and Isaac, Brittni and Griffin and Fudge and us I have always loved bunnies...if only my bunnies growing up could have had a home like this! It is a bunny city!
shadow pic...we love these
it made us laugh
Cohen in his little pumpkin shirt...kind of hard to see
Isaac with some of the giant pumpkins
our little man all bundled up
daddy and Cohen
then Sam decided it was time to try the tricycle course
1st try didn't go so well
brush yourself off...
and try again...this time on the handle bars...still not successful...verdict TOO BIG
We then went on a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch, but first passed through the area with the cows and buffalo. They had this tin of "cow candy" and surprisingly to me Sam grabbed a few to give to the cows. (since he usually stays away from all things animal related!)
and as they came up to the wagon...
and Sam saw this....
and this...he quickly changed his mind and put them back in the tin.
two baby buffalo that were only a few days old
sunset at the farm
and we arrived at the pumpkin patch, one of three on the farm
Sam picked out our pumpkin, a good size for our little man
Bri, Joel and Isaac picking out their pumpkin me, Cohen peeking out of the sling and Brittni and Griffin (or g-man as we like to call him)
heading back, trying to keep Cohen warm
the Fudge Family
We had a great time this year but I can't wait to do this in years to come as these little guys get even bigger!

Meeting PJ

The sock monkey on the left was my MUCH loved monkey growing up, while the sock monkey (PJ) on the right was a handmade gift to Cohen from our friend Melissa.
Sam introduced Cohen to PJ and he LOVED him!!
he held onto
watched
and sucked on...
PJ for at least an hour!
It was so cute!
( you can see his little hand around PJ's back)
I think PJ is here to stay!

Welcome Home DADDY!!

Sam had a week long conference in Hong Kong so Cohen and I were so excited to pick him up at the airport...only problem is somehow we missed him coming up off of the train and my phone didn't work! So we were waiting and waiting by where everyone comes up from the gates and meanwhile he had already gotten his bag at the baggage claim. I finally realized that my phone wasn't working AGAIN and turned it off and on to realize that I had many messages from him. Well we FINALLY found him...
and he dropped his bags to take the little guy
Cohen is so much bigger even in 1 week!
here is our fun sign that Sam never got to see when he arrived! :(

Auntie Kate

Cohen and I spent most of the week Sam was in Hong Kong up in Loveland with grandma and grandpa and auntie Kate. Now auntie Kate has always said she is not having kids of her own but she sure loves this little one. She has yet to change a diaper...we will know she REALLY loves him when that happens. :)
and Cohen, he's an easy sell since he LOVES anyone that gives him milk!
However, when he falls alseep in your arms and hooks his little hand around your arm...then you know he really loves you!
and he was out!

Bianca...the princess

There are a few things you need to know to fully appreciate this blog:
#1- my sister Kate LOVES the dollar store
#2- my sister Kate's dog, Bianca is spoiled ROTTEN and rules the house, thus we call her Princess B
Kate could not narrow down the dollar store dog costumes so she had a trial run with Bianca...I think the bone in the mouth completes the outfit!
no princess costume so the angel was the next best option
Bianca giving Kate kisses
or option #2
which we find hilarious because the cone hat is as long as the front of her face which makes it all look very long
As you can see the little princess has NO problem getting dressed up, which further proves she belongs to Kate!
